You know the mysteries of God

Awedacity Nation > Devotionals > You know the mysteries of God

As I typed “mysteries” my editing app brought out other synonyms like secret, puzzles, enigma and more. I (your name).……………………………………………………………. know the mysteries of God.

In Genesis, God couldn’t keep stuff from his friend Abraham. What makes you think that He will keep stuff from you who is a carrier of his spirit? Abraham needed an external place of worship but you are a living temple.

No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit – 1 Corinthians 2:11. You carry the Spirit of God so you literally have an inside man who is giving you updates if you will listen.

The NLT of Jeremiah 33:3 says “Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.“
The problem isn’t God having secrets but the fact that you haven’t asked to know them.

I remember listening to someone recount how he asked “Lord, why did you make mosquitoes?”. An absolutely silly question right? But how do you know a child if not for the curiosity with which they ask?

Some of us are so mature that we miss the inheritance called ACCESS. You can be president but to your children, you will always be Dad/Mum. God can be the judge of all the earth but He’s your dad first and that means you get the opportunity to ask why, what, when, where and any other question that comes to mind.

Why am I so confident about this? Matthew 7:8 – For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Fundamental Child of God rights – the right to ask and the right to know

1 Corinthians 2:9 is quite popular – But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. What we miss, however, is in verse 10 – But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

The mystery of God has always been available to you because you are a child of God.

I know you may be wondering why you haven’t found those special moments when you just know what God is up to.

  • He doesn’t tell us everything so we don’t back out. If I was in Egypt and God said “let’s pass through the red sea”, I am sure we will be breaking up that day. God will rather not tell you than let the fear cripple you.
  • You have to ask: secrets aren’t for the public but for those who are close to us and care enough to ask instead of assume.
  • You need consistency: you can’t just ask once and move on or presume yesterday’s revelations are enough for today. It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

God wants to speak to you about your life, your local assembly, your community, your nation, your continent and the world if you will be still enough to hear him. The practical part is discerning his speech from your thoughts and environment by listening and testing.

John 10: 4-5

And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

Affirm with me

  • I know the mysteries of God.
  • I know how to see and hear God.
  • I am actively engaging in the move of God.
  • I only say and do what I see my father say and do.
  • I am led by the Spirit of God and not my ambitions or culture.
  • I have the discipline required to search out the deep things of God.
  • I know how to ask, seek and knock and I always receive and find God-answers.

Write out seven practical things you will do to improve how you hear and see God

Practical things I will do to improve the discipline of hearing God

Sin Has No Power Over You
byAwedacity Nation

In the name of Jesus, sin will not have dominion over you. You are strengthened by the Spirit of God, and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh.

May the Lord help you, empower you, and guide you to fully submit to Him in your thoughts, your decisions, your desires, and your daily walk.
