When you go to an adoption agency, you adopt whoever is available; that’s not what God did. Your creator knew when He made you that you will be in a world that will attempt to sever your access as a son so Jesus was always ready to pay the price to adopt you again into the family.
Your presence in God’s life gives Him pleasure just like His presence in your life gives you order.
You were always God’s first choice. You were never chosen out of pity, lack of choice or compulsion. To reach you, God flexed his divine muscles and almightiness in the Earth realm and in the heavenlies.
1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
Let us see verse 4 in other translations
New International Version
Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.
This does sound selfish from every angle but that is how much you mean to the God of all the Earth – He will hurt himself by sacrificing everything He has for you. Now, as a son, you wouldn’t let your father lose all your siblings for you but God will make that irrational sacrifice for you because you mean that much.
New Living Translation
Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you.
Matthew 18:12 (NLT)
“If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it?
You are the one sheep the Shepherd will go look for until you know the flock is safe for you to stay in.
How will God find you while finding someone else? He is the God of the Earth. Just search “God of all the earth/God of the whole earth” in your bible app.

Some of God’s love letters to you will be so hilarious you can’t share them because they make absolutely no sense to anyone else.
Micah 2:12 was God’s love note to me in 2014/15 when life had me all over the place in pieces. Over the years, people have given me all manners of compliments and I can trace them back to the divine love promise in Micah 2 but, very few people might have seen a love note there as I did.
